Role overview
This position is part of Branch Banking and focuses on acquiring corporate salary customers within a defined geography. The role combines customer engagement, banking product promotion, relationship building, and support for business growth through high-quality account sourcing.
The incumbent will work directly with customers, explain suitable banking solutions, and serve as a bridge between the bank and its customers to deliver strong service. A key part of the job is to assist the Sales Manager with catchment analysis, share customer insights, identify opportunities, and convert them into business outcomes. The position is also responsible for expanding customer value over time and contributing to broader organizational goals.
Key responsibilities
- Source new-to-bank corporate salary account customers from the assigned segment and generate referrals from the identified catchment area.
- Bring in accounts that meet the bank’s standards in terms of customer profile, segment fit, and product combination.
- Make sure newly opened accounts are registered, activated, and funded within 3 months.
- Encourage customers to use multiple banking products at the time of account opening, such as mobile banking, net banking, and recurring/fixed deposit activation.
- Consistently achieve monthly acquisition targets by understanding customer transaction banking requirements.
- Support the Sales Manager in catchment mapping and scoping activities.
- Share regular updates with the Sales Manager on customer needs and business opportunities.
- Follow selling guidelines, account opening procedures, and KYC requirements without exception.
- Maintain strict compliance with internal policies and applicable external regulations.
- Source accounts in line with the bank’s quality standards and policy requirements.
- Create a target list of prospective customers through promotional efforts.
- Generate leads for family accounts and other cross-sell offerings.
- Resolve customer questions and issues promptly and proactively.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Commerce, Arts, Science, Biology, Business, Computers, or Management.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Comfort with direct customer interaction and sales-oriented conversations.
- Understanding of bank account opening norms, KYC, and compliance practices.
- Ability to identify customer needs and translate them into appropriate banking solutions.

Education qualification
