Job description

Role overview

This position is part of Branch Banking and focuses on direct customer engagement to acquire corporate salary accounts in a defined geography. The job involves explaining banking products, selling suitable offerings, and serving as a bridge between customers and the bank to deliver strong service quality. It also supports the Sales Manager with catchment mapping, customer feedback, and identifying conversion opportunities. The broader goal is to grow customer acquisition, strengthen relationships, and increase lifetime value across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Win new corporate salary account customers from the targeted segment and generate referrals from the assigned catchment.
  • Bring in high-quality salary accounts with the right constitution, segment fit, and product mix.
  • Ensure accounts are registered, activated, and funded within 3 months of opening.
  • Introduce customers to multiple products at the account-opening stage, such as mobile banking, net banking, and RD/FD activation.
  • Consistently meet and beat monthly new-acquisition targets by understanding customers' transaction banking requirements.
  • Support the Sales Manager in catchment mapping and scoping activities.
  • Share regular market and customer feedback on opportunities and requirements.
  • Follow all selling guidelines, account-opening steps, and KYC requirements carefully.
  • Maintain strict compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Ensure sourcing quality is aligned with the bank's standards and policies.
  • Create customer wish lists through promotional initiatives.
  • Generate leads for family accounts and other cross-sell products.
  • Respond promptly and proactively to customer queries.

Education and experience

Applicants should hold a graduation degree. Acceptable backgrounds include Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Commerce, Arts, Science, Biology, Business, Computers, or Management. The role is open to candidates with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
