What the role involves

• Maintain and expand relationships with both existing and prospective mid-corporate clients.
• Generate new credit rating mandates from debt issuers.
• Design and implement a region-focused, target-led marketing approach for the business.
• Build the company’s market visibility by engaging regularly with bankers, investors, and other stakeholders in the region.
• Lead fee discussions for current and new mandates.
• Work in close coordination with analytical teams.
• Take ownership of managing a team.

Experience and profile sought

The ideal candidate should be an MBA or CA with 9 to 15 years of experience in corporate banking, mid-corporate relationship management at a bank or NBFC, or origination of debt capital market mandates. Background in selling financial services to mid-sized corporates is important. Candidates should already have strong connections with senior decision-makers in this client segment.

Core capabilities needed

A solid understanding of debt capital markets and a working knowledge of corporate credit analysis are required. The role also calls for strong marketing ability, sales expertise, and negotiation skills. Excellent communication at senior-management level, strong interpersonal skills, and a self-driven mindset with a sharp focus on revenue growth are essential.
