About the Role

Nua Healthcare Services provides a broad range of support offerings for both children and adults who need residential, supported living, day services, and community assistance. The Ballyfin location offers purpose-built environments and a variety of stimulating programs tailored to each individual's requirements.

Who You Will Support

  • People with Autism and Asperger Syndrome
  • Individuals recovering from Acquired Brain Injuries
  • Those living with challenging behaviour
  • Persons with intellectual disabilities alongside Alzheimer’s or Dementia
  • Individuals needing mental health rehabilitation and recovery support
  • People with personality disorders

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guiding individuals in organizing and carrying out their day-to-day routines.
  • Providing assistance for participation in community activities and ensuring access to local amenities.
  • Helping with skills development, education, and the accomplishment of personal goals.
  • Supporting the maintenance and development of independent living skills such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, plus managing appointments and fostering family/social links.
  • Staying current with, and adhering to, all company guidelines, legal regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Participating in a flexible shift schedule covering 24/7 operation to support client needs.
  • Taking on additional duties appropriate to the position as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • No specific formal training is necessary; comprehensive induction and ongoing training are offered.
  • Experience in a care or support environment, or relevant life experience, is valued but not required.
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a genuine dedication to facilitating independent, meaningful lives for those supported.
  • Excellent communication and people skills are necessary for building positive relationships.
  • A full driving licence, or active progress towards one, is a requirement.
  • Capacity for flexible and dependable shift work is essential.
