Job description
About the company
NORMAL is a fast-growing Danish retail chain that launched its first shop in April 2013. From that beginning, the business has expanded quickly to roughly 1,000 stores across ten markets. Its growth journey is now continuing in Ireland, where the company is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support a new store opening.
Role overview
As Assistant Store Manager, you will work side by side with the Store Manager to guide the store team, strengthen sales performance, and help deliver a memorable shopping experience for every customer. The role offers a chance to join a company known for an open, friendly culture and a shared drive to achieve results together.
The business values responsibility over rigid rules, so you will be expected to help own store performance, standards, and team leadership. The environment is energetic and busy, and the position suits someone who enjoys variety, challenge, and a hands-on pace.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in leading the team and driving store growth.
- Help create an engaging, high-quality customer experience that encourages return visits.
- Take shared responsibility for sales results, store presentation, and day-to-day leadership.
- Maintain strong store standards and ensure products are stocked and displayed effectively.
- Work strategically with the product range to keep the shop organised, attractive, and commercially effective.
- Step up in a busy retail environment and contribute with initiative, ownership, and a strong work ethic.
Candidate profile
The company is seeking someone who has already worked in retail, ideally in a similar leadership-related position. You should be comfortable taking initiative, working independently, and paying close attention to detail. A positive, visible leadership style is important, along with the ability to turn ideas into practical actions on the shop floor.
What they are looking for
- Previous retail experience.
- Interest in store operations and merchandising.
- Ability to help deliver excellent customer service and repeat business.
- Self-motivated, diligent, and detail-focused working style.
- Confident leadership by example with a constructive attitude.
Hiring process
Interviews will be held on a rolling basis, and the role will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is identified.
