Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager and In-Store Operations Manager in overseeing store management and maximizing store performance. Acting as a key figure for the team, this role involves motivating and coordinating staff to cultivate a positive and engaging work environment. Responsibilities include training and developing team members to boost individual and collective performance, ensuring an exceptional client experience, maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere, and achieving operational goals. When the Store Manager is absent, the Assistant Store Manager, along with the In-Store Operations Manager, assumes full responsibility for the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in creating and executing action plans to drive sales growth and improve profitability.
- Ensure the selling process aligns with brand standards, delivering outstanding customer service before, during, and after purchases.
- Support Client Advisors on the sales floor by offering guidance on the selling ceremony and product knowledge.
- Monitor sales targets set by the Store Manager and track progress.
- Maintain the store’s appearance, including furniture, lighting, and equipment, coordinating assistance as needed.
- Guarantee visual merchandising standards are consistently met for both in-store displays and shop windows.
- Provide ongoing support to Client Advisors for managing individual customer relationships.
- Promote a client-centric culture by reviewing CRM activity performance and recommending improvements.
- Implement onboarding programs for new hires and conduct one-on-one meetings to foster team engagement and growth.
- Encourage continuous learning by facilitating training on product knowledge, client service, CRM, visual merchandising, sales techniques, and stock management.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager for regular one-to-one meetings to support staff development and align on business strategies.
- Assist in organizing daily briefings to motivate and engage the team.
- Support the performance review process alongside the Store Manager.
- Handle staff inefficiencies professionally and promptly.
- Help manage team schedules and annual leave to ensure consistent sales floor coverage and efficient store operations.
