Job description

Position Overview

The Assistant Quality Manager plays a critical role in promoting quality excellence within assigned projects by implementing quality control frameworks, ensuring adherence to standards, and driving continuous improvement efforts. This position collaborates closely with Operations, Training, and Process Excellence teams to reduce defects and nurture a culture focused on operational excellence.

Key Duties

  • Facilitate implementation and execution of established quality control frameworks for designated projects.
  • Track quality metrics consistently to uncover areas for process enhancements and defect mitigation.
  • Perform routine audits, examine quality patterns, and propose corrective and preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, internal procedures, standard operating procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support business-wide Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in process improvement projects by identifying fundamental causes and advising durable solutions.
  • Partner effectively with Operations, Training, and subject matter experts to boost quality performance.
  • Develop and deliver quality dashboards, root cause analysis reports, and performance insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist governance meetings by presenting quality status, risk assessments, and improvement suggestions.
  • Ensure swift resolution of audit findings, corrective actions, and client feedback.
  • Conduct calibration sessions with relevant teams to enhance scoring consistency.
  • Support change management activities by revising quality documentation, checklists, and audit procedures.
  • Track team adherence to productivity and quality standards.
  • Coach and mentor Quality Analysts to increase audit efficacy and consistency.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and skill development of quality team members.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to harmonize quality practices across projects.
  • Contribute to organizational efforts to achieve quality targets, improve customer satisfaction, and uphold operational excellence.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Thorough knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) along with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical capability to detect trends, diagnose root causes, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Familiarity with quality monitoring, auditing, and process compliance standards.

Additional Information

The role is based onsite in Andhra Pradesh, India and requires full-time commitment. As the position demands collaboration across multiple functions and projects, strong interpersonal and mentoring skills are essential.
