About the Opportunity

Position Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to assist in the delivery of large-scale multi-family and mixed-use construction projects within the Philadelphia area. This role suits professionals who have moved beyond traditional project engineer roles and want to take on broader responsibility including project coordination, financial management, overseeing subcontractors, client liaison, and overall project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project management and senior leadership in daily operations of multi-family and mixed-use construction projects.
  • Manage and monitor RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting records, documentation, and project closeout procedures.
  • Assist with subcontractor coordination including buyout, scope assessment, procurement, and resolving issues.
  • Track budgets, report costs, commitments, changes, and update schedules.
  • Work closely with field teams to identify risks, solve problems, and ensure steady progress.
  • Participate in meetings involving owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Help guarantee project quality, safety standards, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships and prepare for advancement to a Project Manager role.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of construction experience with a GC/CM, preferably as Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager.
  • Experience working on multi-family, mixed-use, residential, hospitality, or substantial commercial projects.
  • Preferred background in ground-up construction projects.
  • Experience with projects valued at $30 million or more is favored.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, CMiC, Bluebeam, or equivalents.
  • Excellent communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Team player comfortable collaborating with project members, subcontractors, design professionals, and clients.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary ranging from $75,000 to $100,000, dependent on experience.
