Role Summary
This position is for an Assistant Product Manager within the Marketing function for the Endo Surgery portfolio. The role is based in Mumbai, with responsibility that also extends to Delhi markets, and reports to the Senior Product Manager or Senior Marketing Manager.
The selected professional will support marketing growth, market development, and business expansion for the Endo Surgery portfolio in domestic and international markets. The work involves close coordination with sales teams, surgeons, hospitals, distributors, and other stakeholders to improve product visibility, support market entry, and build stronger customer relationships. The role calls for a mix of product expertise, field marketing capability, clinical awareness, stakeholder coordination, and execution strength to help achieve portfolio goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement marketing plans that align with business priorities and local market needs.
- Organize campaigns, workshops, CMEs, KOL meetings, training sessions, and academic programs.
- Partner with sales teams, distributors, regional managers, and healthcare professionals to drive growth and improve market reach.
- Assist with new product introductions, portfolio placement, pricing decisions, and promotional efforts.
- Deliver product and clinical training to sales personnel, distributors, surgeons, and paramedical teams.
- Review market movements, competitor activity, customer inputs, and business opportunities to guide planning and decisions.
- Create marketing material, digital assets, presentations, and clinical support content.
- Represent the company at medical conferences, trade shows, workshops, and promotional events across assigned territories.
- Work with Sales, Clinical, Regulatory, and R&D teams to ensure smooth execution and effective product lifecycle support.
- Help drive post-launch adoption and customer engagement activities.
- Collect field intelligence and customer feedback to support innovation and product improvement efforts.
Eligibility and Experience
Candidates should bring solid product understanding and practical exposure to surgical stapling devices. The role requires at least 2 years of experience in sales or marketing related to stapling devices, with total industry experience of 3 to 5 years in medical devices. Experience in field marketing, surgeon interaction, and clinical selling is important.
Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities are essential. The candidate should have experience training healthcare professionals, distributors, and sales teams, and should be comfortable working across functions while handling multiple priorities.
Exposure to international markets such as APAC, LATAM, Africa, CIS, or Europe will be considered an advantage. The role also requires readiness to travel within India and internationally as needed. An MBA or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in Marketing or Healthcare Management is preferred.
