Associate Research Scientist

Role Overview

Nuvo Labs Pvt. Ltd., part of the Meril Life Sciences Group, is looking for a driven scientist/research associate to join its in vitro screening and functional assay team in Vapi, Gujarat. The position supports therapeutic antibody and drug molecule evaluation through high-throughput screening, cell-based testing, and biochemical characterization, helping advance antibody discovery and lead selection efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and run high-throughput and medium-throughput assays for monoclonal and bispecific antibodies.
• Build and carry out cell-based functional studies such as receptor binding and signaling, reporter-based readouts, cytokine release measurement, immune cell activation, and ADCC/ADCP testing.
• Assess binding behavior and affinity using ELISA, flow cytometry, and other biochemical or immunological methods.
• Screen antibody and drug-molecule libraries to support identification and shortlisting of lead candidates.
• Interpret experimental findings and prepare structured scientific reports for internal research projects.

Technical Skills Needed

• Practical experience with mammalian cell culture.
• Hands-on knowledge of biochemical methods such as Western blotting and immunoprecipitation.
• Working familiarity with molecular biology workflows including RNA handling, qPCR, ddPCR, and cloning.

Preferred Background

The role is suited to candidates with an M.Sc., M.Tech., or PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a similar discipline. Prior exposure to antibody discovery, immunology, or drug discovery settings will be an advantage. Experience with flow cytometry and immune functional assays is especially valuable.
