Job description
Overview
As a member of the Governance & Service Excellence Division, you will collaborate with Social Service Agencies (SSAs), government entities, and funding bodies to oversee and distribute funds supporting disability-related programs and services. Your work ensures these programs effectively address the changing needs of persons with disabilities and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fund budgets including preparation, approval, disbursement requests, utilization monitoring, and oversee annual audits.
- Administer grants by processing disbursements according to funding agreements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain comprehensive records of grant disbursements and reconcile transactions within internal systems.
- Supervise funding aspects for specific program types, including evaluation of applications, handling appeals, reviewing funding models, budgeting, and disbursements.
- Maintain detailed records of applications, approvals, disbursements, and program outcomes; prepare and execute agreements with SSAs.
- Ensure compliance with government policies, audit mandates, and internal SOPs; prepare reports for funders and assist with audit inquiries.
- Conduct regular data accuracy and compliance checks.
- Recommend and implement process improvements, participate in digitalization projects, and support user acceptance testing for system enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to resolve system issues and streamline workflows.
- Assist with data handling tasks including entry, extraction, and report generation for operational dashboards and senior management.
- Provide operational assistance to internal teams and external partners regarding disbursement timelines, documentation, and funding inquiries.
- Undertake special projects as assigned by reporting officers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or other quantitative disciplines.
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in grant administration, finance operations, or public sector processes; fresh graduates with strong aptitude are encouraged to apply.
- Detail-oriented with strong numerical skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging both internal and external stakeholders.
- Capable of managing high volumes of transactions and documentation efficiently.
- Adaptable, able to work both independently and collaboratively; skilled in multitasking in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
