Job description
Role overview
This position focuses on driving revenue growth across stores while strengthening customer satisfaction and retail execution. The role includes setting up and maintaining retail-standard operating procedures, supporting store staffing needs, and ensuring the brand is represented through strong sales performance and exceptional service.
Sales and profitability
- Track and improve key performance metrics such as units per transaction, average transaction value, monthly sales, sales per square foot, sales turnover, shrinkage control, and conversion rate.
- Establish store sales targets that support overall profitability.
- Support Area Managers and Store Managers in improving store productivity through efficient use of resources.
- Help reduce operating expenses through process improvement and automation.
- Ensure company SOPs, policies, procedures, and loss-prevention audit requirements are consistently followed across stores.
- Check that visual merchandising standards are implemented and maintained in every store.
- Hire and train staff in selling skills, customer handling, teamwork, and brand-specific etiquette.
- Review employee performance annually and encourage open communication through coaching and motivation.
- Make decisions on operating and visual standards based on store requirements and customer needs.
Employee development
- Work with the Brand General Manager and training team to identify learning and development needs.
- Create succession plans in coordination with the Brand General Manager.
- Set KPIs and KRAs for direct reports and conduct performance reviews with feedback.
- Participate in hiring operational staff when needed.
- Ensure team capability through suitable learning and development initiatives.
Communication and coordination
- Run regional sales and operations meetings on a regular basis.
- Share performance feedback with Area Managers and Store Managers against company goals.
- Support participation in the loyalty program, Club Apparel.
- Attend weekly meetings with the General Manager and senior leadership to review business plans, achievements, and improvement areas.
Stock management
- Review store inventory in consultation with the Brand General Manager and Brand Managers.
- Build a cooperative working relationship among the General Manager, Area Manager, Brand Manager, Store Manager, and Buyers/Planners to improve sales.
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete stock with Brand Managers.
- Ensure Store Managers maintain effective stock security controls.
Store design and project coordination
- Participate in the design and layout planning of new store projects.
- Prepare a new store schedule before the design stage begins.
- Guide the concept architect through design and implementation activities.
- Lead regular project update meetings with the Projects team.
- Support the territory during setup and merchandising activities.
Additional responsibilities
- Strengthen brand visibility and contribute ideas for marketing and brand awareness.
- Handle legal matters connected to store management, store openings, and planning.
