Job description

Role Overview

This position focuses on strengthening revenue accounting operations and supporting the wider business with accurate financial management. The role contributes to departmental strategy, helps shape effective controls and processes, and supports customer-centric solutions across mobility and digital transformation initiatives. A key part of the job is to ensure that revenue and cost accounting is handled correctly in line with company policies and International Financial Reporting Standards.

What You Will Do

  • Define and align revenue and cost-related policies and operating practices with the organization’s strategic goals and values.
  • Drive process enhancement by redesigning workflows and introducing practical digital solutions that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and add business value.
  • Support business units in building pricing policies and identifying the revenue streams that sit behind them.
  • Review, interpret, and convert revenue and cost data into useful reports that help stakeholders make timely decisions.
  • Keep accounting policies, manuals, and standard operating procedures for revenue accounting current and aligned with IFRS.
  • Develop and maintain service level agreements for the revenue accounting function, balancing service quality with appropriate internal controls.
  • Identify risks within the revenue accounting area and put mitigation actions in place.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide accounting guidance for complex transactions and newly introduced products or services.
  • Set up and sustain consistent business planning and budgeting processes for revenue and cost streams across business units, while continuously improving them.
  • Prepare and validate business plans and budgets for revenue, cost of sales, and gross profit across all business units.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies and project appraisal reports.
  • Support statutory compliance by providing required information and documentation for interim and annual audits, tax reviews, ICV, and other regulatory needs.
  • Review inventory provisioning needs in line with company policy and IFRS, and guide business units on additional impairment where needed to reflect fair value.
  • Organize and coordinate the annual year-end physical count of 100% inventory across all business units.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to principals based on business unit requests, including proper reconciliation of those payments.
  • Promote collaboration within the team and coach direct reports to build future leadership capability.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Professional qualification in CA, CPA, or ACCA is required.
  • You should bring at least 8 years of relevant experience.
