This position also involves leading the analysis, design, facilitation, and governance work needed to build an enterprise integration architecture. In addition, it manages API services as products and defines the strategy and roadmap for APIs used by internal teams and external consumers.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the API product roadmap, using feedback from users to shape future improvements and feature enhancements.
  • Build productive working relationships with API consumers such as developers and development teams to understand their business and technical needs.
  • Lead the review, assessment, and selection of software technologies and product standards that support integration between backend applications and digital products.
  • Provide users with the resources required to work effectively with the API product, including access, interactive documentation, usage guidance, and code samples or SDKs.
  • Manage the full API lifecycle, including version control and retirement of older APIs when needed.
  • Prepare and keep API specifications and technical documentation current, while also handling connections with external systems.
  • Make sure integration work remains aligned with corporate, finance, and IT expectations, including architecture, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Work closely with product managers, product owners, and enterprise architecture colleagues across business, information, security, and solutions domains to deliver scalable, resilient, and flexible integration support across the product lifecycle.
  • Track technology trends and assess how current and emerging tools can be applied to support new business models and operational needs.

Required qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Hands-on expertise in MuleSoft and Salesforce API integration is mandatory.
  • Background in roles such as Technical Architect, API Product Manager, or API Developer is expected.
  • Professional or technical certifications are required in areas such as API Product Management, Google Cloud API Design, Apigee API Platform fundamentals, and API Developer certification.
