Assistant Manager / Manager - Finance Consulting - Qatar

About the Role

As part of a growing Finance practice within a leading consulting team, this position aims to assist clients in the MENA region in strengthening their finance functions to enhance operational efficiency and financial insight. This role involves supporting clients in shifting finance from transactional work to strategic business decision support, offering exposure to cross-border and multi-sector projects complemented by structured learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with top MENA organizations to enhance finance function efficiency and provide superior financial insights.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, including designing operating models, improving processes, and establishing governance frameworks.
• Perform financial planning activities such as budgeting, forecasting, revenue and expense management, and performance reporting.
• Advise on public financial management areas like spending reviews, revenue diversification, cost allocation, and pricing strategies for government services.
• Develop and improve financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and accounting process cycles including P2P, O2C, and R2R.
• Conduct benchmarking exercises and recommend actions to elevate financial performance and operational effectiveness.
• Collect and document business and functional requirements to support finance transformation implementations.
• Produce and deliver detailed financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior client stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Between 5 to 10 years of recent experience in Finance Transformation and Financial Planning with a reputable business consulting or accounting firm.
• Proven hands-on involvement in major finance transformation projects and financial planning activities.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning processes, transactional operations, and relevant tools.
• Excellent proficiency in preparing and delivering high-quality PowerPoint presentations.
• Demonstrated high levels of motivation, commitment, and ability to perform under pressure.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the MENA region for client engagements.
• Preferably fluent in both Arabic and English languages.

Preferred Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Relevant accounting or finance certifications such as ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CPA, or CFA.
• Openness to extensive regional travel.
