Based at 1310 N Hwy 41 in Calhoun, Georgia, this Store Assistant position offers the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced retail setting. As an Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily station store functions, supervise team members, and ensure superior customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with staffing processes, including hiring, supervising, and developing employees.
- Oversee cash management, bookkeeping, and merchandising tasks.
- Help maintain high operational and food program standards.
- Foster a positive and organized work environment.
- Model urgent, patient, and effective leadership for staff.
- Ensure store meets safety and security protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in retail or food service preferred.
- Background in team supervision or management is highly valued.
- Recruitment, interviewing, and training skills are beneficial.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities required.
- Bookkeeping, cash handling, and problem-solving abilities.
- High school diploma or college degree preferred.
Physical Expectations
- Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours during a shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds overhead for up to 30 minutes, and on occasion, up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
- Push and pull objects up to 20 pounds force.
- Bending, twisting, and manual dexterity for up to one hour during a shift.
- Occasional ladder use to manage materials or signage.
