About Centric Brands
Centric Brands stands as a premier lifestyle brand collective, specializing in designing, sourcing, marketing, and selling top-notch products across diverse segments such as women’s, men’s, and children’s apparel, accessories, entertainment, and beauty. The company prioritizes customers and brand growth by embracing innovation, creativity, and analytical thinking within a respectful, hardworking team culture aimed at building a promising future.
Role Overview
As an Assistant Designer at Centric Brands, you will contribute creatively by crafting designs influenced by style strategies, sales demands, and emerging fashion trends. You will ensure that designs transition into finished products efficiently and affordably by collaborating with technical, production teams, vendors, and other external partners. This role entails substantial detailed and high-volume tracking within a multi-channel licensed business, combining design judgment with precise, systematic process management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the seasonal cross-functional style tracker utilized by various departments including design, sales, planning, product development, and production to monitor samples, approvals, and statuses.
- Assist in tech pack creation within the PLM system by managing season setups, entering colorways and BOMs, and uploading artwork as guided by the Designer.
- Coordinate with external color labs for the seasonal color chart and order physical colors, tracking receipt and addressing any delays.
- Support the development and material entry for novelty elastic including artwork uploads and strike-off tracking with suppliers.
- Help update packaging details and BOM entries throughout the season as changes occur.
- Participate in BOM review sessions post sell-in to facilitate live data corrections across product categories.
- Support the go-to-market logistics by ensuring linesheet availability, tracking samples and prototypes, and preparing sales meeting materials.
- Handle specific tasks related to channel variant executions such as outlet, off-price, club, or special make-up lines as delegated.
Desired Experience and Skills
- Three to five years of experience in apparel design, product development, or related production/merchandising roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage high-volume data tracking with accuracy under pressure.
- Experience or willingness to quickly learn and operate Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, with additional competency in Adobe InDesign; familiarity with 3D visualization tools like Rhino, Browzwear, or Clo is advantageous but not required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to maintain accuracy and follow-through.
- Proactive communication style, comfortable seeking clarification and escalating issues early during onboarding and ongoing work.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range between $66,300 and $77,000 annually. The total compensation package may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a matching 401(k) retirement plan, summer Fridays, generous paid time off, employee merchandise discounts, career advancement opportunities, and a supportive work culture emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company encourages employee involvement in social impact initiatives like Centric Cares and diversity committees.
