Role overview
Anantara Downtown Dubai is hiring an Assistant Chief Steward to oversee stewarding operations and support a clean, safe, and efficient environment for the food and beverage team. The role focuses on monitoring stock and assets such as equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware, while guiding the stewarding team to meet hygiene, safety, and compliance expectations.

What you will do
- Track and control inventory for stewarding-related items, including equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
- Lead the stewarding team to maintain a hygienic and safe working environment for the F&B operation.
- Train team members on chemical handling, dishwashing machine operation, and cleaning procedures for kitchens and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure recycling, waste segregation, and garbage disposal practices are followed consistently.
- Implement and reinforce HACCP requirements on a daily basis.
- Help maintain compliance with government regulations and the company’s food and beverage standards.
- Motivate and coordinate the stewarding team to deliver reliable performance in day-to-day operations.
- Prepare and manage inventory counts, loss reports, and breakage reports using computer systems.

Qualifications
- Relevant experience in stewarding operations.
- Prior experience working in stewarding at a similar level or as an Assistant Chief Steward.
- Strong interest in leadership and team collaboration.
- Comfort using computers for inventory tracking and report preparation.
- HACCP certification.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures.
