Role overview
This position focuses on growing revenue and improving business performance for accounts in the Commercial IT segment on a platform-led team. The role blends category planning, sales coordination, customer insight, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen assortment, availability, and transaction activity across the UAE market.
Revenue and business ownership
- Take end-to-end ownership of revenue delivery for assigned accounts within the Commercial IT segment.
- Build quarterly sales plans by customer, brand, and product group to ensure strong commercial offers reach the right customers.
- Encourage adoption across partner accounts for stock and sell SKUs throughout all business units.
- Improve key performance indicators tied to the number of active transacting partners, as well as transaction reach and repeat frequency.
- Work with sales pipeline processes for SMB and mid-market partners in project-based environments.
- Support the launch of new operating approaches for back-to-back business, cloud, renewals, and software lines across brands.
Category management
- Prepare inventory forecasts based on current sales patterns so fast-moving items remain available.
- Partner with PG teams to keep pricing and product availability current.
- Drive an online-first approach for new brand and subcategory selection.
- Assess how changes in pricing, assortment, and convenience affect downstream performance.
- Recommend ways to increase revenue and margin through cross-sell, up-sell, and higher-margin assortment choices.
Customer-led merchandising
- Build customer cohorts using purchase history and commercial data, segmented by brand, product line, revenue, and margin.
- Own merchandising and catalog execution for customer cohorts through digital CRM campaigns.
- Use customer insights to help partners shift more smoothly toward online commerce.
- Monitor assortment, category performance, purchase journey behavior, product reviews, cross-sell features, and competitor movement to identify growth opportunities.
- Improve the buying and search experience while aligning with business and vendor marketing priorities.
Stakeholder management
- Work closely with platform development and brand teams to understand strategy and translate it into actionable insights.
- Coordinate with CRM teams to activate campaigns in line with the merchandising calendar.
- Partner with operations, logistics, and supply chain teams to maintain availability and support timely delivery in the UAE.
- Align with regional cluster sales and business teams to drive shared commercial goals.
Education and experience
A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent work experience. Academic qualification, professional training, and sales experience are required. The ideal candidate should bring at least 5 years of experience in enterprise sales or a background in infrastructure, software, or security sales from the vendor or distribution side. Experience working in the UAE market is important.
Skills and attributes
The role calls for strong market awareness, product strategy thinking, forecasting ability, analytical judgment, and confident stakeholder management. The person should be independent, energetic, persuasive, and credible with senior stakeholders. Excellent written and spoken communication, presentation ability, relationship-building skills, and the confidence to explain technical concepts to business leaders and business concepts to technical teams are all important.
Additional requirements
The candidate should be comfortable following up on leads, forecasts, stakeholder actions, and sales closures. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret market research, and effective collaboration in cross-functional teams are essential.
