Overview
The Cache County Assessor's Office is seeking applicants for the role of Assessment Data Entry Specialist. This entry-level position is based onsite at 179 N Main St, Logan, UT, and involves supporting the maintenance of precise and well-maintained property records for assessment and public service purposes. The role operates on a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an hourly wage of $20.63.
Employees receive full benefits starting from the very first day, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, participation in the Utah Retirement System, 14 paid holidays annually, and 18 days of personal leave within the first year.
Responsibilities
- Input and verify sales and permit data diligently.
- Maintain and update property records and sketches using spreadsheet software and assessment-related applications.
- Assist in auditing records, carrying out cleanup projects, and preparing various reports.
- Support field data collection and documentation tasks to aid appraisers' reviews.
- Provide courteous and confidential assistance to the public in alignment with organizational policies and relevant laws.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Experience in data entry or record management, or a comparable mix of education and practical experience.
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets and comfortable working with databases; familiarity with CAMA, GIS, permitting, and sketching tools is advantageous.
- Ability to adhere to written guidelines, meet deadlines consistently, and communicate professionally.
