Job Overview

Martin Brower, a global leader in supply chain solutions supporting iconic restaurant brands such as McDonald's, is seeking dedicated Artic Drivers for its Dublin location. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to efficient logistics and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections prior to departure, reporting any defects for repair.
• Verify correctness and secure loading of goods before leaving the depot.
• Adhere strictly to delivery schedules, logging arrival and departure times accurately on journey sheets.
• Communicate any issues such as delays or vehicle breakdowns promptly to the Transport Office.
• Follow specific delivery protocols including proof of delivery checks, temperature monitoring of goods, and PDA process completion.
• Ensure each delivery is signed off by the corresponding restaurant manager.
• Post-delivery duties include cleaning vehicle interiors, refuelling both the unit and refrigeration system, and parking as instructed.
• Participate in journey debriefings with the Transport Office.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
• Comply at all times with LGV driver legislation including weekly submission of tachograph data for company review.
• Maintain a strong awareness of health and safety standards.
• Handle collections and deliveries involving ambient, chilled, and frozen products to diverse locations nationwide.
• Carry out product inspections and complete necessary documentation throughout operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of two years holding a C+E driving license.
• Clean driving record with at least three years accident-free experience driving large goods vehicles.
• Previous experience operating refrigerated trailers is mandatory.
• Ability to adapt flexibly to schedule changes at short notice in response to customer demands.
• Calm demeanor under pressure and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Strong English proficiency at Level 2 or equivalent, including Maths.
• Completion of Drivers CPC certification.
• Good computer literacy relevant to logistics tasks.
• Working knowledge of vehicle and refrigeration systems essential.
• Understanding of EC drivers’ hours regulations and EC working time directives is required.
• Experience with refrigerated vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Successful completion of a post-offer background check is mandatory.
