About the Role
Retrofête is seeking a dynamic Brand Art Director to spearhead the visual identity for both the Retrofête and Seroya brands. This pivotal role involves shaping and executing the brand's aesthetic across all visual mediums, including photography, advertising campaigns, graphic design, and digital content. Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, you will be instrumental in translating seasonal creative visions into compelling visual narratives for lookbooks, campaigns, and other key brand touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development of seasonal creative direction in partnership with the Creative Director.
- Define and refine the brand's visual language across campaigns, editorials, and significant brand moments.
- Ensure all visual assets consistently reflect an elevated and distinctive brand identity.
- Manage the retouching process, color correction, image selection, and final delivery of all assets.
- Uphold and enhance the brand's visual identity across all platforms and outputs.
- Proactively monitor cultural, fashion, and visual trends to maintain brand freshness and aspirational appeal.
- Integrate innovative approaches while respecting brand heritage and commercial goals.
- Guarantee that all branded content exudes a luxury sensibility and remains relevant to current culture.
- Conceptualize, plan, and direct all photoshoots, including campaign, e-commerce, lookbook, and special projects.
- Oversee casting, styling direction, set design, location scouting, and overall shoot execution.
- Provide on-set creative leadership, ensuring strict adherence to brand vision and creative standards.
- Lead the Graphic Design function across all brand channels.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing materials, digital assets, social media graphics, email designs, packaging, retail displays, event collateral, and other brand materials.
- Ensure brand standards are uniformly applied across all customer touchpoints.
- Collaborate with marketing and e-commerce teams to translate campaign concepts into engaging customer-facing creative.
- Establish design guidelines, creative workflows, and approval processes to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Review and approve all graphic design assets before their release.
- Drive the continuous evolution of the brand's visual identity while maintaining channel consistency.
- Directly manage and mentor the in-house Photographer, Photo Editor, and Graphic Design team.
- Set clear creative direction and performance benchmarks for all creative functions, including shot lists and post-production standards.
- Foster efficient workflows between creative, marketing, e-commerce, merchandising, and production departments.
- Partner with Styling, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to align creative output with product and business objectives.
- Ensure all creative endeavors support both brand building and commercial success.
- Utilize AI tools to aid in concept development, mood boarding, and initial visual exploration.
- Identify opportunities to improve post-production efficiency, image selection, and content iteration using AI-driven workflows.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging creative technologies that align with brand objectives.
- Maintain a strong perspective on how AI can enhance rather than detract from brand authenticity, ensuring all final outputs are elevated and human-centric.
