About the Role

Meril Life Sciences is pioneering healthcare advancements through innovative technologies. Their MISSO series delivers state-of-the-art robotic solutions that enhance surgical precision, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes in orthopedics.

This position is focused on capital equipment sales within the ortho robotics domain, emphasizing strategic partnerships and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a consistent, healthy sales pipeline targeting hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and orthopedic clinics.
  • Navigate and close long-term capital equipment deals while securing interim achievements.
  • Collaborate with the Joints Product Team to shape tailored sales approaches aligned with specific surgical procedures such as total knee, hip replacements, or revision surgeries.
  • Customize sales messaging to resonate with individual surgeons' techniques and philosophies.
  • Drive negotiations covering robotic system purchases, lease options, and value-added services, leveraging compelling return-on-investment and clinical benefit arguments.
  • Present effectively to hospital executives, addressing the financial, operational, and clinical implications of robotic investments.
  • Utilize robust clinical evidence, peer-reviewed data, and economic analyses to reinforce the advantages of Meril's products over competitors like Stryker, Medtronic, and Globus Medical.
  • Work closely with clinical demo and education teams to organize surgeon demonstrations, cadaver workshops, and product evaluations, ensuring strong customer immersion.
  • Keep abreast of competitor activities, shifting market trends, and procurement behaviors to fine-tune sales strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or similar disciplines.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving capital equipment sales in medical devices, preferably in robotics, imaging, or surgical platforms.
  • Proven record of surpassing sales targets within complex, multi-layered sales environments.
  • Strong relationship-building and story-telling skills focused on solution-based selling.

Preferred Attributes

  • MBA or higher academic credentials.
  • Existing contacts with orthopedic surgeons and hospital procurement influencers.
