Job description

Job Purpose

The Area Sales Manager (Business Loans) is responsible for driving the sourcing and disbursement of SME and business loan products. This is achieved by managing Sales Managers and their networks of referral partners within a designated area. The primary focus is on expanding the business loan portfolio, speeding up disbursements, and ensuring robust partner activation, all while upholding portfolio quality and adhering to compliance standards.

Role Dimensions

  • Team Size: Manages a team of 7–10 Sales Managers.
  • Geographic Scope: Covers Noida and surrounding market areas.
  • Product Focus: Business Loans, Loan Against Property (LAP), Working Capital solutions, and Commercial Lending.
  • Sales Channels: Utilizes referral partners, Direct Selling Agents (DSAs), connectors, and the open market.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Partner activation rates, sourcing volumes, disbursement figures, portfolio quality, and Non-Performing Assets (NPAs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide Sales Managers to meet sourcing and disbursement objectives.
  • Facilitate the onboarding, activation, and productivity enhancement of referral partners and DSAs.
  • Formulate area sales strategies aligned with market potential and competitive landscape.
  • Cultivate relationships with SME customers and establish a strong local market presence.
  • Monitor the sales funnel, disbursement progress, and portfolio quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with credit and operations teams to ensure efficient processing and timely turnaround.
  • Track performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Promote the cross-selling of Aditya Birla Capital lending solutions through the partner network.

  • Achieving business growth while maintaining credit quality and minimizing NPAs.
  • Competing effectively with banks, NBFCs, and fintech companies on pricing and processing speed.
  • Ensuring consistent partner productivity and retention in a dynamic market.

  • Developing sustainable SME pipelines within a highly competitive environment.

Direct Report Role: Sales Manager

Sales Managers are tasked with onboarding and managing referral partners, as well as sourcing business loan opportunities through both partner and direct channels. Their duties include partner activation, lead generation, customer acquisition, and ensuring compliant case processing to meet sourcing and disbursement targets while safeguarding portfolio quality.
