Role overview
A fast-growing beverage business is looking for a Key Account Manager to expand retail presence and accelerate revenue across the Central and/or Eastern United States. This position offers the chance to join a lean, entrepreneurial team and help shape the next growth stage of an exciting brand in grocery.
Important: This is not a position with ForceBrands.
The right person will be comfortable building a brand in an emerging category, developing relationships from scratch, and managing grocery accounts, brokers, and distributor partners.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and expand regional retail accounts across grocery, natural, and specialty channels in the Central and Eastern U.S.
- Create and execute account plans aimed at improving distribution, ACV, velocity, and revenue.
- Lead line reviews, promotional strategy, innovation sell-ins, and new item pitches with retail partners.
- Build persuasive customer presentations using syndicated data and category insights.
- Drive new business with targeted regional grocery accounts.
- Manage broker relationships and field execution partners to support retail performance.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams.
- Handle forecasting, sales planning, trade spend, and ongoing performance tracking for assigned accounts.
- Travel regularly for retailer meetings, market calls, and industry events.
What the employer is seeking
- At least 5 years of CPG sales experience, ideally in beverage.
- Background in managing regional grocery accounts and building customer growth strategies.
- Existing relationships in Midwest and/or Northeast retail channels are preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with UNFI, KeHE, brokers, and merchandising partners.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and selling capabilities.
- Ability to create customer decks and use syndicated data to influence decisions.
- Self-directed, entrepreneurial approach to work.
- Comfort in a fast-paced, high-growth setting with limited resources.
- Experience with emerging, startup, or growth-stage brands is highly preferred.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary range: $115,000 to $140,000.
- Annual bonus opportunity: 20% to 25%.
