Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager to oversee the operations of 6-7 restaurant branches. This role is crucial for driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and leading teams to achieve key performance indicators. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, staff development, commercial performance, marketing initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations across a portfolio of 6-7 restaurant locations.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and motivation to Branch Managers, Supervisors, and restaurant staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage onboarding processes, and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Drive team performance by focusing on people development, customer growth, and business expansion.
  • Achieve a minimum annual turnover growth of 40% for the assigned outlets.
  • Maintain a monthly balanced scorecard performance of at least 75% and an NPS score of 80%.
  • Enhance sales, average transaction value, and conversion rates to boost margins and profitability.
  • Manage daily staff briefings, optimize product displays, and implement strategies to reduce stock loss.
  • Support the successful launch of new outlets in adherence to brand standards.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Manager to plan and execute marketing activities at the outlet level.
  • Develop and implement customer loyalty and retention programs to maximize revenue.
  • Forge co-branding partnerships and initiate promotional campaigns.
  • Address customer complaints at the first level and conduct regular meetings with key customers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all legislative requirements and food safety standards across all outlets.
  • Maintain accountability for daily, weekly, and monthly Profit & Loss statements for all managed outlets.
  • Keep food wastage below 1% of total food sales.
  • Oversee accurate opening, closing, cash handling, and daily reporting procedures.

Requirements

  • Possess a degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Hospitality Management is considered a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of food safety standards, such as HACCP, and workplace safety protocols.
  • Proven experience within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, with a solid grasp of operations.
  • Possess strong business development skills, with a demonstrated ability to increase turnover and profitability.
  • Show solid financial literacy, including the ability to interpret and manage P&L statements.
  • Have experience in human resources management, team building, and industrial relations.
  • Experience in supply chain and stock management at the outlet level is essential.
  • Exposure to marketing and brand management principles is required.
  • Be results-oriented, with a strong drive to meet financial and performance targets.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and people management skills, applying fairness, firmness, and engagement.
  • Be a proactive self-starter capable of identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate resilience and tenacity, maintaining performance under pressure.
  • Show adaptability in dynamic or rapidly changing environments.
  • Possess cultural awareness and the ability to succeed in a multicultural workplace.
  • Be self-reliant and capable of building and maintaining crucial business relationships.
  • Maintain a passion for the food and hospitality industry.
