Role Overview

The Area Manager role is focused on building insurance business through an assigned relationship or channel partner within a defined area or zone. The position involves influencing the partner to recommend investment in Birla Sunlife Insurance products to their customers.

Core Objective

This role is responsible for driving revenue growth from the allocated partner network while maintaining a strong, service-oriented relationship with both the partner and end customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate insurance business through the assigned relationship or channel partner in the designated geography.
  • Work with the partner to help them understand and present Birla Sunlife Insurance solutions to their customers.
  • Provide complete pre-sales and post-sales assistance to the relationship, its customers, and the dedicated support team.
  • Coordinate with the team aligned to the relationship to ensure smooth service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Deliver on business targets while also sustaining quarter-on-quarter growth.

Performance Expectations

The position is expected to achieve both target attainment and steady business expansion across every quarter.
