Role Overview
This position is responsible for managing the business relationship with partner banks and driving insurance sales performance in the assigned region. The role focuses on strengthening the partnership, supporting frontline sales execution, and ensuring that business goals are met through coordinated planning, relationship management, and field-level follow-up.
Key Result Areas
- Keep partner bank relationships strong even when competing insurance companies are active in the same account.
- Bring the systems and processes of ABHI and the partner bank closer together so the relationship becomes harder to displace.
- Offer high-quality sales assistance that makes it easy and comfortable for the partner bank to sell ABHI products.
- Maintain a strong customer experience throughout the sales and service journey.
- Stay consistently connected with all levels of management at the partner bank and with ABHI stakeholders.
- Track early signs of competitive threats and take timely steps to reduce their impact.
- Build sales plans aligned with the partner bank’s internal targets and priorities.
- Influence the partner bank to align its insurance revenue objectives with ABHI’s goals.
- Plan product mix, training needs, and sales methods to support target achievement.
- Identify customer segments, shape the sales approach around them, and design reward-and-recognition programs to motivate the sales force.
- Hold regular strategy discussions with the partner bank head office product team, local line supervisors, and the ABHI team.
- Drive premium achievement through clear strategy, daily monitoring, MIS-based reporting, roadshows, and ongoing review with regional leaders.
Supporting Actions
- Coordinate closely with partner bank teams to improve relationship stability and operational alignment.
- Use proactive sales support and issue resolution to improve ease of business for the bank’s sales force.
- Monitor market dynamics, competitor moves, and relationship risks, then respond with suitable counter-strategies.
- Develop a structured sales plan that balances revenue goals, product strategy, training, and customer segmentation.
- Track field activity and performance regularly, share actionable feedback, and course-correct based on review meetings.
- Execute recognition and motivation programs to sustain momentum among sales teams.
