About the Position

An esteemed international architecture firm is inviting an Architectural Designer to join its New York-based team. The firm, renowned for its diverse portfolio across numerous sectors and international markets, contributes to some of the most innovative and complex architectural projects globally.

This full-time, in-office role offers the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned project leaders and multidisciplinary teams, participating in all project phases from preliminary design through detailed documentation and final delivery. The role involves actively shaping design concepts, generating comprehensive project documentation, and aiding coordination among diverse project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the conceptualization and development of complex architectural projects, supporting teams from initial designs through to thorough project documentation and execution.
  • Generate and present design solutions using drawings, 3D modeling, visualizations, and presentations for internal teams and clients.
  • Assist with site planning, zoning research, compliance assessments, and design of technical architectural components such as façade and building envelope systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive project progress and coordination.
  • Support construction-related documentation tasks including BIM modeling, responding to requests for information (RFIs), managing submittals, and conducting site observations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Between 2 to 7 years of professional experience, preferably with large-scale or technically challenging architectural projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of architectural design fundamentals, building systems, construction techniques, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Expertise in zoning evaluation, building codes, site planning, and safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, D5 Render, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, well-organized, capable of managing time effectively within collaborative team environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
