The staff brings together architects, project managers, construction managers, planners, community specialists, IT professionals, and other experts.
Role overview
This is a full-time Architectural Designer position for a motivated, versatile professional with 2 to 4 years of post-graduate experience and an architecture degree. The role offers broad exposure to projects focused on reusing, repairing, and updating existing buildings, along with mentorship, room to grow, and involvement across the full design and delivery process.
What you will do
You will participate in a wide range of project activities from early design through construction support. The position also involves close coordination with principals, project managers, designers, and other colleagues through regular team meetings and one-on-one collaboration.
- Carry out site and field surveys.
- Develop initial and refined design ideas.
- Produce presentation and client-facing materials.
- Prepare construction documentation.
- Support construction administration tasks.
Required qualifications
Candidates should hold a professional degree in architecture or a closely related field and have 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role. Strong capability in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam is expected, along with well-developed design, visualization, and presentation skills. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable to new tools and methods, and brings strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Careful attention to detail and experience supporting work from design development through construction administration are important. Interest in adaptive reuse, preservation, or work with existing buildings is especially valued. The role also requires the ability to travel within the United States by car and/or airplane for trips ranging from one day to two weeks.
Work location
This position is based in Boston, Massachusetts and begins on-site. Some flexibility may become available as the role develops. Travel across the United States is part of the job.

Compensation
The annual salary range is $58,000 to $75,000, depending on experience.
Eligibility
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must either live in the Boston area or be willing to relocate. Local candidates will be preferred.
