Role Overview

This position focuses on shaping and maintaining the physical retail experience for Zoya, with an emphasis on luxury aesthetics, brand consistency, and customer engagement. The role blends store design, project coordination, vendor management, experiential design, and ongoing design improvements across retail and event environments.

Retail Design and Brand Experience

  • Lead the design and rollout of new stores, galleries, and other retail touchpoints in collaboration with the Retail Network Development team.
  • Make sure each store reflects Zoya’s luxury identity, design approach, and service expectations in a consistent way.
  • Convert brand direction into real-world retail spaces that strengthen customer connection and brand impression.
  • Suggest and apply design enhancements that improve the ambience, overall presentation, and in-store experience.

Store Interiors and Maintenance

  • Take responsibility for the condition and periodic refresh of interiors, fixtures, furnishings, signage, surfaces, lighting, carpets, and other visual elements.
  • Spot signs of wear and tear and propose design solutions that remain aligned with brand standards.
  • Set material, texture, colour, finish, and detailing specifications while coordinating implementation with RND and vendor partners.
  • Carry out regular store audits to check quality and consistency across the retail network.

Project and Rollout Management

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of design projects such as store openings, refurbishments, upgrades, branding updates, and special initiatives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to approved design intent.
  • Oversee timelines, approvals, artwork development, material selection, fabrication, installation, and execution.
  • Ensure brand elements such as logos, signage, fixtures, and experiential components are implemented smoothly.

Event and Experiential Design

  • Develop and execute luxury brand experiences for store launches, media events, customer events, private previews, trunk shows, and curated dinners.
  • Design customer journeys and event settings that feel memorable and distinct.
  • Manage the visual and experiential setup of events, including layout, décor, branding, installations, and other touchpoints.
  • Keep every event aligned with Zoya’s premium positioning and brand storytelling.

Trunk Shows and Gallery Experience

  • Plan and execute design and experience requirements for trunk shows and temporary retail formats.
  • Create layouts, fixture plans, display standards, and customer movement flows that support both presentation and experience.
  • Ensure event and display assets are properly maintained and deployed.
  • Be willing to travel frequently to supervise setup, execution, and quality control.

Vendor and Partner Management

  • Build effective working relationships with architects, design agencies, fabricators, fixture vendors, signage partners, and material suppliers.
  • Assess and source new materials, finishes, fixtures, and design solutions suitable for luxury retail settings.
  • Visit vendors and review quality to confirm compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Balance cost efficiency with the need to preserve a premium luxury experience.

Innovation and Design Excellence

  • Keep up to date with global trends in luxury retail, hospitality, and experiential design.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve store aesthetics, customer interaction, and experiential features.
  • Introduce fresh materials, finishes, technologies, and design concepts that strengthen the Zoya retail experience.
  • Act as the guardian of Zoya’s retail design language across all physical touchpoints.
