Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is posted on behalf of a partner organization that will handle applications and all hiring stages. The company is seeking an Analyst, Cybercrime Intelligence Analysis based in Ireland.

This is a deeply analytical intelligence role centered on understanding cybercriminal ecosystems and emerging threats, then turning that knowledge into practical insight. You will examine data from a wide range of sources, study adversary behavior, investigate underground communities and intrusion activity, and help convert findings into intelligence products that support security teams across regions and industries. The role suits someone who enjoys detailed research, intelligence-led security work, and exploring how cybercrime evolves in the real world.

What you will do

  • Study cyber adversaries, new threat patterns, intrusion activity, and criminal operations to create usable intelligence outputs.
  • Gather, verify, and interpret information from multiple sources to build tactical intelligence and threat insights.
  • Investigate attacker techniques, methods, and procedures in depth.
  • Carry out attribution work and map links between threat actors, supporting infrastructure, and related activity groups.
  • Use intelligence tools, platforms, and structured approaches to improve the quality of research and reporting.
  • Provide timely, independent intelligence support for customer requests, investigations, and custom threat-intelligence needs.
  • Help with data collection efforts and support AI-assisted and automated intelligence processes.
  • Prepare briefings, bulletins, and reports on adversary profiles, regional threats, and sector-specific risks.
  • Work closely with a global intelligence team to maintain consistency, quality, and shared knowledge.
  • Assist with internal and external presentations that communicate insights and support awareness and go-to-market efforts.

What we are looking for

  • A strong grasp of cyber threat intelligence and how it supports security operations and risk reduction.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of security functions such as SOC, incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, or fraud prevention.
  • Familiarity with security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, TIP platforms, firewalls, IPS, IAM, and cloud security controls.
  • Good understanding of the cybercriminal landscape, including malware activity, phishing, fraud, and underground services.
  • Working knowledge of OSINT methods and related research tools.
  • Comfort with intelligence models and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, or Pyramid of Pain.
  • Ability to use structured thinking, critical analysis, and bias-reduction techniques in research.
  • Capacity to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a distributed remote team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and well-organized intelligence reports.
  • Experience in cybersecurity-related fields such as threat intelligence, incident response, malware analysis, red teaming, or penetration testing is a strong advantage.
  • Good organization and time management skills for handling several intelligence tasks at once.
  • A curious, proactive mindset and genuine interest in tracking how cyber threats evolve.

Benefits

  • Compensation aligned to the market.
  • Fully remote-friendly setup for candidates within Europe.
  • Access to professional growth and ongoing learning opportunities.
  • Recognition programs that encourage strong performance and engagement.
  • Wellness and well-being initiatives.
  • An inclusive, mission-focused culture built on collaboration, integrity, and innovation.
  • The chance to work on real cybercrime intelligence that contributes to global security operations.

Hiring process and data notice

The application process is managed by the partner company. Applications are screened using an AI-supported matching process to quickly and fairly compare candidates against the role’s core requirements. A shortlist of the best-fitting candidates is shared with the hiring company, and the internal team handles final decisions, interviews, and assessments.

By applying, you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed to evaluate your candidacy and shared with the employer where relevant, based on legitimate interest and pre-contractual steps under applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. You may exercise your data rights, including access, rectification, erasure, and objection, at any time.

AI tools may also assist with parts of the recruitment process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or checking responses for potential inconsistencies or verification signals. These tools support the recruitment team but do not replace human judgment, and final hiring decisions are made by people.
