Job Description
This is a full-time, onsite position at the company's headquarters in Dubai, UAE, for the role of Treasurer (Cashier). The Treasurer will manage daily cash and electronic transactions, including receiving payments from clients, issuing receipts, and reconciling the cash float at the end of each shift. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions, updating payment records or systems, and preparing daily cash reports for management. The Treasurer will also be responsible for responding to customer inquiries regarding payments, providing clear information about fees or amounts due, and coordinating with the accounting department to resolve any financial discrepancies. The role also involves safeguarding cash and financial documents, adhering to approved internal controls and procedures, and supporting reception services while interacting with clients professionally with a focus on service quality.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong skills in cash handling, basic accounting, and account reconciliation, with high accuracy in calculations.
- Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems, basic financial software, or spreadsheets for transaction recording and report generation.
- Good customer service and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently and professionally handle payment-related inquiries and issues.
- Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple transactions simultaneously, maintain organized records, and meet daily reporting deadlines.
- Integrity, reliability, and the capacity to maintain the confidentiality of financial information and client data.
- Previous experience as a Treasurer, Cashier, or in a similar financial or reception role is preferred, especially in a service-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic or any other common languages in the UAE is an added advantage.
