Ambulance Driver

Role Summary

As an Ambulance Driver at Via Medica International Healthcare based in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, you will be responsible for the prompt, secure, and compliant transport of patients within campus facilities and to surrounding hospitals in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate emergency vehicles efficiently and safely in emergency responses and routine patient transfers within the campus and to regional medical centers.
• Support nursing and medical teams by assisting with stretcher operations, patient transfers, and non-medical emergency assistance.
• Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections of vehicles every day, submit fleet maintenance reports, and ensure medical equipment cleanliness and hygiene protocols are upheld.
• Keep detailed daily logs documenting response times, journeys completed, and vehicle conditions.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Hold a valid UAE driving license with at least 2 to 3 years of driving experience in the UAE.
• Preferably have previous work experience as an ambulance or emergency vehicle driver.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of Al Ain’s road network and key hospital locations including Tawam and Al Ain Hospital.
• First Aid, CPR, or Basic Life Support certification is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrate good English communication skills; basic proficiency in Arabic is considered a plus.
• Maintain a calm attitude under pressure and availability to work up to 60 hours weekly.
