Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Allocator to join the Blue Rock Quarry team on a 12-month maximum-term contract. Reporting directly to the Quarry Manager, you will oversee the daily scheduling and coordination of trucks, drivers, and loads. Your goal is to facilitate safe, efficient, and timely transport operations between the quarry and customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize daily dispatch and scheduling of trucks.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with quarry operations, weighbridge personnel, drivers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless transport coordination.
  • Maintain precise transport records, including run sheets, job allocations, and system data updates.
  • Allocate loads to meet delivery deadlines and production targets efficiently.

Requirements and Skills

  • Experience in administrative positions, preferably within quarry environments.
  • Background in transport allocation, dispatch, logistics coordination, or fleet scheduling is desirable.
  • Strong willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a team while also being capable of working independently.
  • Excellent communication skills for professional interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality results.
  • Intermediate computer skills focusing on data entry and cost control.
