Role overview
This permanent, full-time role is based at Dublin Airport and involves supporting the safe and timely turnaround of aircraft. You will be part of the ramp operation, working in an active, hands-on environment at the center of airport activity.
The position offers paid training, guaranteed full-time hours, and opportunities to build a career within Swissport and broader airport operations.
Key responsibilities
- Handle the loading and unloading of passenger baggage and cargo.
- Use a variety of airside vehicles and equipment; full training is provided.
- Guide aircraft into position and help keep the stand and work area safe.
- Coordinate closely with other members of the ramp team to complete daily operations.
- Adhere to all safety and security rules and procedures.
- Carry out duties outdoors in all weather conditions; full PPE is supplied.

Working pattern and onboarding
The roster follows a 4-on, 2-off pattern, with shifts scheduled across Monday to Sunday. Working hours are 37.5 per week, typically covering a mix of early and late shifts planned in advance. Additional hours may be offered depending on operational requirements.
All airport operational positions require security clearance. The onboarding checks include a 5-year employment and background verification, Garda vetting, and airport ID clearance. This process usually takes about 10 weeks, and support is provided throughout with regular progress updates.
