Role Overview
For the air freight pricing team in Frankfurt am Main, the company is looking for an experienced and results-driven Airfreight Pricing Expert for a permanent full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation and execution of the country’s commercial air freight strategy at global, regional, and local levels.
- Ensure the team has effective options for prioritization, pricing, route design, and solution development, working closely with Sales and the Airfreight Gateway/Procurement teams.
- Drive ongoing process improvements, including collaboration across departments.
- Make sure all compliance requirements as well as internal and legal rules are met.
- Manage interfaces with stations, the product team, and Global Service Centers.
- Own competitive pricing activities and run related campaigns.
- Develop customer-focused solutions based on purchasing input.
- Monitor adherence to global pricing standards.
- Analyze, prioritize, and structure incoming RFQ requests.
- Work independently on global tenders within the House of Pricing framework.
- Make risk-based decisions at country level and lead RFQ risk analysis.
- Coordinate closely with the Sales team to provide competitive pricing that supports country-level sales growth.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has completed vocational training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk, a bachelor’s degree, or additional training in a relevant field. Several years of experience in air freight pricing and tender management are expected. A strong understanding of the forwarding industry, especially operational air freight, is important, along with solid experience in planning peak season activities within RFQ management. Experience in final price negotiations with air freight customers is also required. The role calls for strong project management skills, good communication abilities, and analytical thinking. Good knowledge of Office 365 and strong written and spoken English are needed.
