Job description
Overview
This role sits within a long-established aviation services business that has been supporting the industry since 1833. The company operates across 350 locations in more than 65 countries on six continents, with a strong focus on the people who deliver its services every day.
Role Purpose
The aircraft cleaner will help keep customer aircraft clean, tidy, and presented to a high standard. The position calls for a reliable and enthusiastic person with strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to health and safety. You will work professionally at all times, take pride in the quality of your work, and help support a safe and comfortable journey for passengers.
The ideal candidate will already have some cleaning experience, be self-motivated, and aim to maintain clean and safe environments to the best possible standard.
What You Will Be Doing
- Keep seat pockets organised and restock materials where needed.
- Clean public-facing aircraft areas such as meal trays, overhead bins, and windows according to customer expectations.
- Never deliberately or carelessly tamper with, misuse, or interfere with company-provided health, safety, security, wellbeing, or welfare equipment.
- Report any activity, condition, or equipment issue that creates a serious or immediate risk to your manager or supervisor.
- Carry out driving duties as required by the role.
Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance
You are expected to take reasonable care of your own health, safety, and wellbeing, as well as that of others, by following the information, training, and workplace rules provided to you. The business maintains a safe working environment and has a strict Substance Misuse Policy, including regular testing, because alcohol and drug misuse can pose risks to everyone on site.
What We Are Looking For
Applicants should have good spoken communication skills, a complete five-year history covering work, unemployment, or education, proof of National Insurance, and must be able to pass a criminal record check and airside security clearance. A full, valid UK driving licence is also required.
Diversity
The employer is an equal opportunity organisation and welcomes applications from qualified candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, pregnancy, or maternity. The company aims to provide an inclusive workplace where different perspectives and experiences are valued and everyone has the chance to reach their full potential.
Application Process
Applicants may be assessed using a range of recruitment tools to better understand skills and experience. Reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process can be discussed with the recruiter if needed.
