Job description

Overview

We are looking for a proactive, innovative AI Research Scientist to join our Technology Center in Singapore. This role is suited to someone with 1–2+ years of experience who is excited about applying advanced AI methods to meaningful challenges at the intersection of healthcare, information, and technology.

You will collaborate with international teams, contribute to projects that support professional growth, and work in a flat, open environment where ideas are shared freely and different perspectives are valued. The organization promotes inclusion, diversity, and respectful debate as a driver of better innovation.

What you will do

  • Evaluate AI models, approaches, and frameworks through research, assessments, and technical review to improve the company’s AI capabilities and generative AI initiatives.
  • Design and run feasibility studies, then build proof-of-concept solutions for internal use cases and datasets to reduce risk in AI delivery.
  • Take part in internal communities of practice and guide teammates to strengthen AI and data science maturity across the organization.
  • Support technical learning sessions that help raise the overall data science skill level of colleagues.
  • Continuously monitor developments in AI research and stay current with the evolving landscape.

What we are looking for

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Computer Vision, or Image Processing is strongly preferred.
  • Applications from candidates with backgrounds in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Physics, Bioinformatics, or other quantitative and scientific disciplines are also considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Strong understanding of the AI research ecosystem, including the ability to review publications in Generative AI, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or Computer Vision.
  • Practical coding experience and familiarity with Python-based scientific computing tools.
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of GenAI, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and ML frameworks; other AI areas are also valuable.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services such as AWS or Microsoft Azure is an advantage.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical business areas such as research, clinical, manufacturing, or commercial operations is an added plus.

Benefits and work environment

  • Engaging work with a strong team on global projects in an international setting.
  • Opportunities to learn and grow professionally across the global organization.
  • Hybrid working model with a flexible role pattern.
  • Internal reward system and referral program.
  • Competitive salary, incentive pay, and additional benefits.
