Role overview

This opening is being handled on behalf of a partner organization, which will oversee the application review and all subsequent hiring steps. The partner is hiring an AI Automation Specialist in Germany.

It is a hands-on, high-change role for someone who enjoys rethinking how work gets done. You will create AI-enabled workflows that remove repetitive tasks, improve operational speed, and support better decisions across different business areas. The role calls for close partnership with internal stakeholders so that day-to-day challenges can be turned into scalable automation solutions. The environment encourages experimentation, including testing new AI tools, building prototypes, and refining existing processes. You will work with integrations, APIs, and automation platforms to connect systems and improve efficiency across the organization. The setting is remote-first, collaborative, and suited to someone motivated by AI, process improvement, and practical impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Build AI-based workflows and automations that cut down manual work and improve efficiency across teams.
  • Create intelligent AI agents to help with tasks such as routing information, supporting decisions, and streamlining processes.
  • Develop prototypes with automation tools and lightweight scripting to turn business needs into working solutions.
  • Set up and maintain links between internal tools using platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Make, Monday.com, and Slack.
  • Use APIs and webhooks to connect systems, applying JavaScript or Python when additional functionality is needed.
  • Track, fix, and improve automations so they remain scalable, dependable, and performant.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to spot automation opportunities and improve processes.
  • Write clear documentation and help teams adopt AI-powered workflows.
  • Review emerging AI technologies, run proof-of-concepts, and suggest improvements to current systems.

Requirements

  • Practical experience building automations with tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
  • Strong enthusiasm for AI tools, workflow automation, and business process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, system integrations, and how tools connect in modern environments.
  • Basic scripting or programming ability in JavaScript and/or Python.
  • Experience using AI tools to prototype ideas, generate solutions, or improve workflows.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to solving problems.
  • Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on documentation and process clarity.
  • Awareness of data privacy, security, and responsible AI practices.
  • Nice to have: experience with AI agents, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, or automation in tools such as Jira or Intercom.
