Job description

About the role

KPMG New Zealand is seeking an AI Adoption Analyst to support the organisation’s AI journey and help build stronger AI capability across the business. The role sits at the centre of change enablement, combining learning support, communications, adoption activities, and practical user assistance to encourage confident use of AI in everyday work.

KPMG is a globally respected professional services firm with a mission to help create prosperity for New Zealanders. Its work is guided by the values of Integrity, Courage, Excellence, Together, and for Better.

What you will do

  • Help deliver AI capability uplift programmes by preparing learning content, coordinating training sessions, and supporting facilitation aligned to role-based learning pathways.
  • Contribute to firmwide AI engagement efforts such as communications, campaigns, and hackathons, with an emphasis on growing awareness, participation, and business impact.
  • Support business users as they adopt AI tools by providing coaching, troubleshooting help, and guidance on effective AI-enabled working methods.
  • Gather and review feedback, usage data, and adoption insights, then use those findings to recommend improvements to enablement initiatives and post-launch AI adoption.
  • Assist with the creation and continuous refinement of enablement resources, knowledge content, and AI Champion activities, while keeping everything aligned with Trusted AI principles and internal policies.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in AI and emerging technologies, along with strong coordination skills and clear written and verbal communication. You should also be comfortable supporting and coaching others as they learn new tools and workflows.

Exposure to practical AI tools and approaches such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, agent or persona building, and vibe coding will be helpful. Experience in learning and development or marketing would be an advantage, though it is not essential.

Additional information

This role is being recruited directly by KPMG’s Talent Acquisition team, and external recruitment agencies are not being engaged at this stage unless support is needed.

KPMG welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, including people with disabilities, neurodivergent candidates, and those with additional mental health needs or chronic health conditions. If you have accessibility needs or require support during the recruitment process, KPMG invites you to reach out for assistance.

Other benefits include access to the firm’s annual incentive scheme, opportunities for local and international secondments, a paid professional association membership of your choice, digital accreditations through Microsoft and LinkedIn Learning, and bespoke learning pathways for employees.

Employees can also access special offers and discounts on insurance, banking, and lifestyle services; join Inclusion, Diversity and Equity affinity networks; take part in Green Team initiatives supporting the journey to carbon zero by 2030; and participate in social club activities across sporting, cultural, family, and fundraising events.
