About KPMG New Zealand

KPMG New Zealand is part of KPMG’s global professional services network and provides audit, tax, and advisory services to individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, large multinational organisations, and government clients. The firm is known locally for its values-led culture, high employee engagement, and a purpose focused on supporting New Zealand’s prosperity.

The organisation is seeking someone who can help attract, develop, and retain outstanding people at the start of their careers.

About the Role

This Auckland-based position sits within the People & Inclusion team and reports to the Talent Acquisition Lead. The role is responsible for leading KPMG’s early careers recruitment programmes for graduates, interns, and junior hires across the business.

The job is highly visible and externally focused. It involves representing KPMG on university campuses, at careers expos, and at industry events, while also building strong relationships with students, tertiary institutions, and internal teams. National travel within New Zealand is part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full early careers recruitment process, including attraction, selection, and practical guidance for hiring managers.
  • Design and run early careers events and initiatives such as university open days, careers expos, office tours, and networking activities.
  • Work with stakeholders to create engaging onboarding and induction experiences for early careers starters.
  • Use labour market insights, reporting, and trends to help shape planning, budgeting, tertiary engagement, and student club sponsorship decisions.
  • Support employer branding campaigns and content for the early careers audience in partnership with brand colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with universities, student organisations, and external industry contacts.
  • Represent KPMG as a positive and inclusive ambassador, ensuring a strong candidate experience at every stage.
  • Look for ways to improve recruitment systems, processes, and everyday ways of working.

What You’ll Bring

  • Prior experience running early careers recruitment programmes.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, with the ability to juggle several priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Confidence speaking and presenting to groups at expos, events, and similar forums.
  • The ability to build credible relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A strong commitment to inclusion, candidate experience, and continuous improvement.
  • Comfort using recruitment systems and data to guide decisions.
  • Willingness to travel and attend events outside standard hours when required across New Zealand.

Salary and Offer Details

The indicative salary range for this role is NZD 107,500 to NZD 145,000 per year, and this range includes the employer KiwiSaver contribution. The final offer will depend on experience, capability, and internal pay alignment.
