About the Role
Xpress Health is seeking skilled Agency Registered Nurses across all disciplines to strengthen our healthcare team. This role suits nurses eager to take on additional shifts or those exploring a career transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage medications accurately.
- Address and manage patient and resident needs effectively.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when working with clients.
- Monitor patients' health status and wellbeing consistently.
- Promote safe work practices aligned with company policies and procedures.
- Participate actively in a collaborative environment encouraging teamwork and personal growth.
- Ensure precise handover documentation after each shift.
- Report any safety or welfare concerns and incidents involving patients or staff promptly.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is mandatory.
- Current full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum of one year nursing experience within Irish healthcare settings.
- Valid certifications including Patient Manual Handling, CPR/BLS, Elder Abuse Awareness, Medication Management, Children’s First, and Infection Prevention and Control.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong motivation with enthusiasm for nursing duties.
- Capability to work independently and take initiative.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with HIQA standards and Irish healthcare environment.
- Eligibility to work legally in Ireland.
Employment Details
- Position offers both full-time and part-time options, with part-time ranging between 20 to 40 hours weekly.
- Work is based at a single location in County Kilkenny, with an expectation to commute or relocate if necessary.
