About the Role

Join Boeing as an Aerospace Tradesperson and become a key contributor at our advanced manufacturing facility in Port Melbourne. You will work alongside skilled teams assembling aircraft components, gaining training and experience in high-precision manufacturing of aerospace parts. No prior aerospace industry experience is necessary.

Work Shifts

  • Day Shift: 6am – 2:30pm
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm – 11pm (includes 15% salary loading)
  • Night Shift: 10pm – 6:30am (includes 30% salary loading)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble aircraft components adhering to detailed digital instructions and engineering drawings
  • Maintain precise measurements and tolerances in a highly repetitive production line environment
  • Perform tasks including drilling, fastening, and shimming using hand and power tools, sealants, and chemicals
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow environmental health and safety standards
  • Lift objects up to 15 kilograms occasionally while working both seated and standing as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must hold a relevant trade certification with applicable experience in your trade area
  • Competent in literacy and numeracy to accurately interpret digital instructions and drawings
  • Possess strong hand skills and attention to detail under repetitive conditions
  • Flexibility to work day, afternoon, and night shifts as per operational needs
  • Ability to collaborate within a team and also work independently meeting key performance indicators
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for hands-on, physical work
  • Unrestricted right to work in Australia is mandatory

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a trade apprenticeship is advantageous

Additional Information

  • Position classified under Enterprise Agreement as Base Tradesperson with a 3-month probation period
  • Background checks and trade certification verification are required
  • Applications accepted up to July 19, 2026, considered across multiple intakes through 2026 and 2027
