About the Organization

GOS INSTITUTION is an education-centered organization in Coimbatore that helps learners make informed academic choices through structured programs and guidance. The workplace is designed to be supportive and professional for students and their families, with a strong focus on service quality, integrity, and clear communication. Team members work together to improve student outcomes, uphold the institution’s reputation, and deliver a smooth experience throughout the admissions journey.

Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Coimbatore is suited to someone who can support prospective students and their families through every step of the admissions process. The counselor will be the first point of contact for inquiries, explain course details, admission criteria, and timelines, and help applicants move confidently from initial interest to enrollment.

Key Duties

  • Handle questions from students and parents by phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Share accurate information about programs, entry requirements, and important admission dates.
  • Conduct campus visits and represent the institution during outreach events and related activities.
  • Review applications and assist with the admission decision and selection workflow.
  • Keep admission records up to date in the relevant systems and maintain documentation carefully.
  • Follow up with applicants to ensure a clear, responsive, and smooth admission experience.
  • Coordinate with academic and administrative teams so admissions work stays aligned with institutional goals and service expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should bring strong communication and interpersonal abilities, along with a customer-focused approach and the confidence to present programs in a persuasive yet ethical manner. A working understanding of the education sector is important for explaining academic offerings and institutional policies clearly. Helpful additions include basic computer knowledge, familiarity with CRM or admissions tools, strong organization and time management, attention to detail, and fluency in English plus local languages.

Preferred Background

A diploma or degree in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related discipline is preferred. Previous exposure to admissions, counseling, or student support work will be an advantage.
