Job description
Position Overview
The role focuses primarily on delivering face-to-face instruction at Roane State Community College, with an emphasis on campuses including Lenoir City. The adjunct faculty member will teach courses such as English Learning Support (ENGL 0510), Composition I (ENGL 1010), Composition II (ENGL 1020), and Reading Learning Support (READ 0562).
Responsibilities
- Conduct live, in-person classes covering various English and reading support courses.
- Utilize educational technologies like Zoom and D2L to enhance student learning experiences.
Qualifications
- For ENGL 0510: Bachelor's degree in English, English Education, Literature, or Technical Writing from an accredited institution.
- For ENGL 1010/1020: Master's degree in Creative Writing, English, Letters, Literature, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in these fields from an accredited institution.
- For READ 0562: Bachelor's degree in English, Reading, English Education, Adult Education, or Reading Education from an accredited institution.
- Experience teaching in a traditional face-to-face setting is preferred.
