About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic Accounts Payable team at Renuity. This role involves managing a variety of payable functions such as invoice processing, purchase order matching, vendor relationship management, as well as reimbursement and refund handling within a fast-paced home improvement business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and promptly process purchase order (PO) invoices
- Manage non-PO invoice processing, ensuring correct coding and necessary approvals
- Carry out payment processing aligned with company policies
- Maintain and nurture vendor relationships, including onboarding, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues
- Perform reconciliations of vendor statements to verify account accuracy
- Handle expense management by reviewing and validating submitted expense reports
- Conduct internal account reconciliations to detect and correct discrepancies
- Support audit processes by preparing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally within a shared services setup
- Strong knowledge of three-way matching processes involving PO, receipt, and invoice, especially related to inventory AP transactions
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems and accounts payable software tools for expense reimbursement and invoice workflows
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities to collaborate efficiently with vendors and internal teams
- High attention to detail paired with robust problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude toward process enhancement focusing on accuracy and operational efficiency
