Role Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist position is a part-time remote opportunity responsible for managing vendor invoice workflows, executing payment processes, and ensuring precise financial documentation. Daily duties include invoice review and coding, vendor statement reconciliation, journal entry preparations, and timely payment disbursements. The specialist will also oversee expense report compliance, resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments, collaborate with internal departments to support month-end and quarter-end closures, maintain audit-ready documentation, contribute to accounts payable process enhancements, and uphold company financial policies and compliance standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Solid background in Accounting and Finance focused on accounts payable operations.
Expertise in managing and approving Expense Reports with strict adherence to policies.
Competence in preparing and auditing journal entries and assisting with general ledger reconciliations.
Strong analytical skills to detect irregularities, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements.
Experience using accounting or ERP software platforms along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational capability, and time management skills suitable for a remote working environment.
Effective written and oral communication skills coupled with a cooperative and team-oriented approach.
Possession of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
