Role overview
This position is for an accountant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working full time from the office. The role focuses on day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate books, supporting financial close activities, and helping the business stay compliant with applicable requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Record everyday financial transactions accurately and keep accounting ledgers up to date.
- Process incoming invoices, manage outgoing payments, and support both receivables and payables workflows.
- Track customer billing, follow up on collections, and assist with vendor settlement activities.
- Carry out periodic reconciliations for bank accounts, cash balances, and intercompany accounts.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
- Monitor spending against budget, review utilization trends, and assist with cash flow planning.
- Help maintain statutory compliance, prepare tax-related submissions, and organize records for internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a closely related discipline is required.
- The ideal candidate should have around 2 to 3 years of experience in corporate accounting or finance.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software is expected.
