Job description

Role overview

This position is part of Swiggy Dineout’s effort to scale dining-out experiences across India. The platform serves more than 100 million diners and works with over 21,000 restaurant partners across 34 cities. The business focuses on helping customers discover restaurants across formats such as QSRs, cafes, casual dining, premium dining, and fine dining, while enabling attractive offers and convenient bill payments through the app.

The person in this role will manage partner accounts in an assigned territory, strengthen restaurant relationships, and drive growth for the Dineout business. The target is to oversee around 70–80 partner accounts and contribute roughly 80–90 lakh in gross merchandise value each month, with exact targets varying by market and geography.

Work arrangement

This is an office-based and field-facing role. Team members are expected to work from the office every day from their base location.

Account and partner management

You will be responsible for bringing new partners onboard, coordinating with internal teams, and clearly communicating partner requirements. Regular visits to existing restaurants are also expected to keep partner relationships strong and ensure restaurant display content and visuals remain accurate and high quality.

The role also involves presenting Dineout plans and promotions persuasively, driving consistent partner participation, and handling growth-related activities such as offer alignment and marketing coordination so campaigns and events can go live as planned.

Issue resolution is another key part of the job, including handling payout-related disputes and making sure customers and restaurant partners experience smooth transactions.

Business analysis and performance tracking

You will review data from partner dashboards, explain performance metrics to restaurant partners, and use those insights to improve conversions and business outcomes. The job requires tracking growth plans account by account and gathering competitor intelligence.

It is also important to monitor the partner’s competitive positioning through on-ground observations and discussions with the partner, competition sales teams, delivery personnel, and other relevant sources. Based on those findings, you should help ensure partner investments remain at or above competitive levels across discounts, commissions, and advertising.

Stakeholder coordination

This role requires frequent interaction with partner support teams, sales operations, and finance. You will help coordinate discount updates, display-page changes, competition comparisons, festival-related data, payout reconciliations, GST-related questions, and cases where money has not yet been credited to partner accounts.

Functional knowledge expected

The role calls for a clear understanding of Dineout’s offerings and the growth levers that influence performance. You should be comfortable with restaurant operating hours, ad revenue per order, commission revenue per order, and related components such as average order value. Familiarity with dashboards and tools such as CMS, Power BI, Compass, and Salesmate is expected, along with an understanding of the conversion funnel across weekly, monthly, and daily transaction patterns, denial rates, and supply metrics compared with competition.

Desired profile

The employer is looking for a graduate with 1.5 to 3 years of field sales experience. Strong local language fluency and working knowledge of English are required. The ideal candidate should understand e-commerce activities and online marketing channels, communicate well, work confidently with a pleasant personality, and bring a strong sales mindset.

Analytical ability and good Excel skills are also important. Since restaurant partners may operate outside standard office hours, flexibility is necessary. The role further calls for leadership, influence, initiative, adaptability, creativity, and the ability to work well in a team and with people from varied backgrounds.

Equal opportunity statement

All qualified applicants are considered fairly for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
